My New Blurb Designer Book!

A few weeks ago, I was offered an early bird trial of Blurb’s new Designer Photo Book Templates and I of course said, Yes! I definitely wanted to make myself a Blurb Designer book! Springtime in Donegal
I think Spring has arrived!
February has just come and gone, and despite some horrible windy weather here in Donegal at the beginning of the month, I think Spring has finally sprung! We have had some amazing sunshiny days, and of course I have been out and about with my phone taking snapshots to share with you!
During February, we also had a group of 12 people visit from Minnesota, USA. It was a lovely opportunity to show them around the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula. There also took hundreds of photos – mostly of newborn lambs I think! They had a great visit with us, and I think they would like to come back again. It’s actually good to come to Ireland in the Spring and Autumn as flight prices are usually a little bit lower than peak season. You will also find at these times of year that holiday homes are a good bit cheaper to rent.
The last couple of weeks we have got to visit Glengad, Leenan, and a bit more of Inch Island. I also enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon walk on “My Beach” (it’s what I call it as it is just across the road form our house

Over the past number of years, I have tried quite a few different photo book companies. I have to say that without question, the most professional looking books have been made through Blurb.
Not only has the quality always been top notch, the software that you use to create the book gives you far more control over your design than some of the other companies. You can completely design the layout yourself. It is also intuitive and very easy to use.
There are loads of different types of books that you can create. I have designed a couple of wedding books, and my next project is to put our own wedding photos into a book!!
I would also love to make a recipe book with my most used recipes. Instead of having loads of tatty bits of paper hanging around the kitchen, I would love to have them in a beautiful book. And wouldn’t hat make a nice gift for family? All the favorite ”hand me down” recipes in one place!
I have also created some lovely small books with holiday photos. There is no end to what you can do!
Another project I would love to try is to make a desk diary with photos on each page – also possible with Blurb!
One last suggestion – why not take all of your Facebook photos, or Instagram masterpieces and get them all printed into a book! Wouldn’t that make a fun read?!
